1. SLEEP
We’re not talking about the 5 hours of sleep you think you can get by with. The average person requires 8 hours of sleep every day. In fact, according to a study published in the Journal of Neuroscience, “Neuroscientists have found that sleep deprivation fires up areas of the brain associated with emotional processing. 2. POWER NAP
That’s right. Adults need naps, too. A quick 15-20 minute nap is all you need to feel more refreshed throughout your day

3. GREEN TEA
Put down the coffee. I know, I know. Easier said than done, but green tea is a source of L-Theanine, a chemical that helps relieve anger.
4. EXERCISE
Even just a 20 to 30 minute workout a day is a great way to relieve stress. Don’t have a gym membership? You don’t have too. Even something as small as going for a walk is a great place to start for beginners.
5. GET AN ANIMAL
Seriously, animals provide affection, and aid anxiety. Not to mention they are adorable. If you do not currently own a pet, ask a friend if you can dog sit.
